  4. Lift your arms overhead or bend them at the elbows, creating “cactus arms” (arms at 90-degree angles).

  5. Keep your spine straight and engage your core.

  6. Hold the pose for 5-8 breaths, feeling the grounding energy in your hips and thighs.

  7. To release, straighten your legs and bring your arms down by your sides.

Bound Angle Pose

(Baddha Konasana)



A gentle hip-opener, this pose releases tension and invites emotional balance. By deepening Scorpio’s natural connection to emotions, it encourages vulnerability and emotional release, key to personal growth.


How to:

  1. Sit on the floor with your legs extended straight in front of you.

  2. Bend your knees and bring the soles of your feet together, allowing your knees to fall out to the sides.

  3. Draw your feet in as close to your pelvis as comfortable.

  4. Hold onto your feet or ankles, and sit up tall, lengthening through the spine.

  5. With each inhale, create space in your spine, and with each exhale, gently press your knees toward the ground.

  6. If it feels comfortable, hinge forward at the hips to deepen the stretch, but keep the spine long. You can also lie on your back while keeping the feet drawn in towards the pelvis.

  7. Hold for 1-3 minutes, breathing deeply into your hips.

Pigeon Pose

(Eka Pada Rajakapotasana)

How to:

  1. Start in a tabletop position (hands and knees).

  2. Bring your right knee forward, placing it behind your right wrist, with your shin angled under your torso and your right foot near your left hip.

  3. Extend your left leg straight behind you, with the top of the foot resting on the mat.

  4. Square your hips toward the front of the mat, ensuring they’re level (use a block or blanket under the right hip if needed).

  5. Slowly lower your torso down, either staying lifted with hands firmly planted on the mat, on your forearms or extending your arms fully in front of you, resting your forehead on the mat. You can also rest forehead on stacked your palms.

  6. Hold for 5-10 breaths (practice longer holds gradually), then switch to the other side.
