Ruled by Mars, the warrior planet, Aries teaches us that we don’t need to have everything figured out before we begin. The key is starting—taking that leap, trusting in our strength, and allowing the journey to shape us along the way.

Aries and the Solar Plexus Chakra


At the heart of Aries energy is the Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura), located above the navel. This chakra governs personal power, confidence, and willpower. When in balance, we feel unstoppable, motivated, and ready to take on challenges. When blocked, we may experience self-doubt, hesitation, or fear of failure—the very things Aries season teaches us to overcome.


Now is the perfect time to activate this inner fire, reminding ourselves that we don’t have to be perfect—we just have to be brave enough to try.


Yoga Poses to Awaken the Solar Plexus Chakra


These three yoga poses align with Aries energy and support confidence, strength, and the courage to embrace new experiences:


Gate Pose

(Parighasana)



A grounding posture that opens the side body, fuels inner strength, and encourages expansion—reminding us to reach beyond our comfort zone.


  1. Start in a kneeling position with knees hip-width apart.

  2. Extend your left leg out to the side, grounding your foot.

  3. Inhale, sweep your right arm up, lengthening through the side body.

  4. Exhale, lean to the left, resting your hand on your shin or the floor.

  5. Keep your chest open and gaze upward or forward.

  6. Hold for 5 breaths, then switch sides.


This pose opens us up to possibility, teaching us to stretch beyond limits—both physically and mentally.


Camel Pose

(Ustrasana)



A heart-opening posture that builds courage, strengthens the core, and fuels our inner fire. It’s a reminder that confidence comes from opening up, not holding back.


  1. Start in a kneeling position with hips over knees.

  2. Place your hands on your lower back for support.

  3. Inhale, lift your chest and arch your back, gaze rising.

  4. If comfortable, reach for your heels, allowing the heart to open.

  5. Breathe deeply for 5 breaths, embracing vulnerability and strength.


Dare to be seen. This pose reminds us that confidence isn’t about being fearless—it’s about showing up anyway.


*Camel Pose is a deep backbend and should be approached with care. Be sure to warm up properly before attempting it.


Warrior III Pose

(Virabhadrasana III)



A balancing pose that embodies focus, strength, and resilience—all core Aries traits. It teaches us that falling is part of the process, but we get stronger every time we rise.


  1. Stand with feet hip-width apart.

  2. Shift your weight onto your left foot and hinge forward keeping the knee bent.  Lift your right leg behind you.

  3. Keep your torso and right leg parallel to the floor, arms reaching forward or hands in prayer.

  4. Engage your core, find your balance, and hold steady as you gaze approximately 3 feet in front of you.

  5. Hold for 5 breaths, then switch sides.


You will wobble. You might fall. But you get back up stronger. This pose is a perfect metaphor for daring to try, even when we’re unsure.


Embracing Aries Energy


Aries season is an invitation to be bold, take risks, and trust that you have what it takes. It reminds us that:


  • We don’t need to have it all figured out to begin.

  • Trial and error is part of the journey.

  • Daring to fail means daring to grow.

  • The process matters just as much as the outcome.


So, as you move through this season, put yourself out there. Whether it’s speaking your truth, trying something new, or finally taking action on that dream you’ve been holding onto—go for it. Aries season teaches us that we are not meant to sit on the sidelines. We are here to live boldly.
